Granada Uncovered

Views of the Alhambra in Granada with the snow capped mountains of Sierra Nevada, Andalusia

Granada province is often defined by the Alhambra, but there is far more to discover beyond the city. After years of travelling through Andalusia and repeatedly exploring Granada by car, on foot, and with our family, we’ve come to know a province shaped by strong contrasts — mountains, villages, coast, and historic towns, each with its own character.

This page brings together our first-hand experiences across Granada province, sharing places we’ve visited ourselves, routes we’ve explored, and practical insights gained through slow, repeated travel beyond the usual highlights.

Alongside this English-language guide, much of our Granada content is also available on our Spanish site, Bloguera Viajera, where we’ve been sharing family travel experiences across Spain for over a decade. It’s widely recognised as one of the leading family travel blogs in Spain and includes many more detailed, first-hand stories from Málaga and beyond.
